Many students involved with CAR participate in one of the numerous student projects CAR has to offer.
These projects are mostly national competetions against some of the most well known universities in the nation.
Anyone participating the projects gets full access to state-of-the-art equipment and tools.
Current Projects
ChallengeX is a four-year competition sponsored by
the US Department of Energy, General Motors Corporations, and
several other organizations and companies from the US and
Canada.
The Formula SAE® competition is for SAE student members to
conceive, design, fabricate, and compete with small
formula-style racing cars.
The Mini Baja team designs, builds, and races with a single seat,
off-road vehicle while marketing the concept of the vehicle to a
fictitious firm for production.
The Buckeye Bullet is a student organization with the purpose of
designing the world's first hydrogen feul cell powered land
speed racing vehicle.
The biannual North American Solar Challenge embodies the ultimate
in complete design efficiency, with teams required to design and
build a roadworthy vehicle powered only by the sun.
